Biography
Taaja’s research focuses on the experiences of American cotton farmers after the abolition of slavery with a particular interest in how racial capitalism structures U.S. imperial labor regimes, the diffusion of specifically anti-black policies and ideas onto an increasingly multiracial workforce, and the development of agrarian radicalism in the American South.
