Shahzad Bashir specializes in the intellectual and social history of Iran and Central and South Asia from the late medieval period to the present. His current major project is a digital monograph entitled Islamic Pasts and Futures: Horizons of Time that consists of a series of interpretive essays on conceptual issues pertaining to the conjunction between Islam and history.
