Research Interests Palestinian history, modern Middle East, spatial and economic history, urban politics, power structures.

My work deals with the spatial and economic history of Palestine in the 20th century. My current research project examines the socio-economic conditions that played part in constituting the urban fabric and attempts to understand the role of marginalized city residents in shaping their built environment. I am particularly interested in power dynamics, land ownership and spatial structures in 20th century Palestine.
