Biography

My work deals with the spatial and economic history of Palestine in the 20th century. My current research project examines the socio-economic conditions that played part in constituting the urban fabric and attempts to understand the role of marginalized city residents in shaping their built environment. I am particularly interested in power dynamics, land ownership and spatial structures in 20th century Palestine.
