Biography
Augusta (Guta) da Silveira de Oliveira holds both an M.A. and B.A. in History from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in Brazil, where she studied women's representation in politics and transgender social movements. In 2013, she spent a semester at the University of Buenos Aires (UBA), in Argentina, on a AsociaciĆ³n de Universidades Grupo Montevideo (AUGM) fellowship. She is a Fulbright-CAPES PhD fellow and plans on studying lesbian sociabilities with a focus on twentieth-century Brazil.
