Biography

Elizabeth Amber Vazquez holds a Bachelors of Arts in Anthropology and History from Northwestern University. Her research focuses on BIPOC environmental consciousness and the ways that marginalized individuals create connections with the environment outside of exploitative labor practices. Particularly, Elizabeth Amber is interested in a place-based approach that centers the land that fosters the growth of these relationships such as summer camps. Beyond her academic research, she has a professional background in museums, including repatriation, provenance, collections stewardship, and institutional histories.
